Frequently Asked Questions

My alarm system beeps at me for no apparent reason

Alarm systems are designed to beep and or flash lights at you to tell you there is a problem with the system. This can be for multiple reasons. Sometimes these are accompanied by fault codes which our technicians can use to assist them with fault finding.  One of our team can help diagnose and repair the system to get rid of that annoying beeping

This is definitely a problem, especially if it happens at night.  There can be several causes from wiring faults to tamper circuits. Either way, one of our technicians can fault find and repair this for you.

Have the kitten walk through the room and see if the LED light lights up on the front of the sensor.  Many sensors are pet friendly however often need to be adjusted to suit the size of your new fury friend.  Our technicians can adjust the sensitivity of the sensors or replace the sensors if they’re not pet friendly

Yes you can, providing cables can be run to the new location there is no problems in adding additional sensors. Try to schedule our tech when you have the framing open so it’s easier for us to run cables. If cabling cannot be run, then a wireless sensor can be installed however these are not as good as wired versions.

As a rule of thumb, It is recommended that the alarm system every 24 months for residential or every 12 months in commercial installations, minimum. It is also recommended that you set the alarm off every month. Pretend you are a burglar, and walk into the lounge or hallway etc and set the alarm off, make sure the sirens are sounding, and then reset the system.  We regularly service alarms and find that parts of the system are not even working and the owners had no idea they had no protection.  Book our technicians so you can have peice of mind that your alarm is working properly.

Great, gates normally need to be serviced every 24 months regardless.  We can come out and show you how to use them, service them, and make any adjustments needed so they operate how you want them to.

Double check someone hasn’t accidentally pressed a mute button.  If this doesn’t help, one of the components in the handset inside, or the gate station outside might have a fault; a technician should be called out to site to check the Intercom system.

Absolutely, Our techs can call out and reset codes.  We recommend using different codes for each user. This way we can delete a specific code when that staff member, tenant, or friend no longer needs access.

Sure, there can be a few reasons that cause this. Check the recorder and modem are all plugged in to start with otherwise one of our techs can call out to site to check this for you.

No problem, we can get a tech out under urgency to help with this.  If you have the ability to log in to the system, double check you didn’t accidentally change the permissions for the users or for the door.  Otherwise our tech can assist with getting you inside and diagnosing what the problem is.
